Rusty Pickle CHA New Release

I really love this unique line from Rusty Pickle. It is called Chocolate Covered Cherries and will be released in December. I think these papers would make great valentine layouts without being the traditional pink, white and red. I also thought they'd be great for wedding layouts, and many other ideas. The papers with the cut edges are really great in person. These pictures don't do the papers justice! It will be hard to wait 4 months or so to get these!

More New Products!

I ordered 2 lines of paper from Dream Street Paper Company.
Their Wonderland line is 6 sheets of double-sided paper with a winter and Christmas theme. The papers are gorgeous and the little snowmen are very cute!

I also ordered the Cookies -n- Cream line. I love the rich browns, rust and greens in this line. A couple of the sheets and the cut outs are for cooking pages. I thought this was a great line to carry to scrapbook your kitchen memories.

Creative Imaginations Birthday New Release

I purchased this Birthday line from Creative Imaginations. I love the papers, tags and stickers for the line but I fell in LOVE with the transparency pictured below: In case you can't read it, it says:
Dear You,
Your story is one which starts at home in the hearts that love you. On this
special day, you entered the world - the beginning of the first chapter in which your
novel begins. All the paths of your future and your past began on this day.
This day is dedicated to you and your life. On this day, we reminisce and
relive the special moments along the way as part of who you are. We loved
you instantly yet more strongly with every minute that passes. So it is with joy and
celebration that we embrace this day and celebrate the journey of who you are and
who you dream to become. Most of all we are thankful for the gift of you.
Happy Birthday!

More New Items and Contest !!

Here are 2 more previews of items I ordered at the CHA show from Cosmo Cricket:

The Haunted Line - Great Halloween line! This is a preview of the papers but it also comes with great stamps, ribbons, rub ons and black board. The blackboard shapes match the rup on and sticker shapes so that you may place them directly on the blackboard for a 3-D little embellishment. There is a Strip Tease sheet with a little skeleton that says "I've got a bone to pick with you." LOVE IT!

I also ordered the Mr. Campy Line. There is the CUTEST little marshmallow guy on the papers, rub ons, stickers and so on. In the Strip Tease sheet of this collection - he says, "I Love you S'More." I really, really, really love this little guy!!!! Same type of blackboard as described in the Haunted collection is coming with this one too. I absolutely can't wait to get it! This collection is also not just for camping - it includes other outdoor activities like being in the lake, campfires and making s'mores -with adorable little Mr. Campy guy. Did I say that I loved him?????!

Kids Are Funny!

I try to take time to write down in my journals some of the funny things my kids say and do. I then refer to those journals when I'm scrapbooking - usually because I am so far behind and can't remember dates, locations or milestones.

Here's a glimpse of a few funny moments recently:
I was talking to my two boys about what they want to be when they grow up. My 3 year old said he wanted to be a policeman. I asked him what he thought his younger sister, who is 9 months old, was going to be. He said "She is going to be a Mom." I was so touched! He actually thought that what I do everyday is a JOB! My heart was swelling with such love and pride. Then he added, "She'll still be bald too. She'll be a bald mom when she grows up." A sweet, tender moment became a pretty funny one.

My oldest, who is six, was talking about when he will be seven and eight... I told him that when his younger sister turns 2, he will almost be 8. Then I thought, gosh ... 8 years old???? What happened to my baby??? I said to him, "Part of me doesn't want you to grow up." He replied, "Who's Partofme?" He thought I was naming someone that wants him to stay young!! Too darn cute!

Enjoy those moments, write them down if you can and soak it in. The days go so fast in this journey called motherhood and there are so many simple pleasures in every day. Sure, I could write about all the tantrums, time-outs, eye rolls and tears that have occurred in the past week or so BUT I don't write about those things in my journals! Only the things that make me smile and that I always want to remember.

Happy Belated Mother's Day

I hope all of us mommy's had a fantastic mother's day. Is there anything better than the sweet little homemade cards, pictures and other treats we get when our children are young? To see their creations and the pride in their faces when they give us our gift is worth so much more than fancy things!!!

My 3 year old has been saying "Happy Mother's Day" to me for the last four days -every morning that is what he greets me with. I haven't corrected him yet. I just say thank you and treasure his innocence!! I figure if he wants Mother's Day to go on for weeks - who am I to stop him????

Happy Belated Mother's Day to you all!

Ok, I'll admit it... I'm addicted

After just receiving ANOTHER new order with lots and lots of paper, I must admit that I am truly addicted to scrapbooking paper.

There are soooo many colors and patterns that I just love and I MUST buy so many coordinating patterns and sheets from the same collection.

I LOVE to have tons of it and shamefully, I do not even like to cut some to put in the scrapbook. They are just too pretty!! I know, definately not right!

So, are there others out there?? Am I alone in this strange addiction?? Are there other supplies that people buy and buy yet must have the latest releases and more colors and styles of the same item???

Will Spring Ever Arrive?

Tis the season for cute Easter Dresses, Happy Spring Signs and nothing but cold and snow here in Michigan. I think I do this to myself every year - March arrives and I think - yea! spring is coming. And now, it is April and still, very few signs of Spring and I keep watching the weather forecast, waiting for the temperature to rise above 50 degrees!

The warmer weather does wonders for my spirit and energy level. I've so missed the feeling of the warm sunshine, the birds singing, the sight of flower and leaves on the trees. I also have two young boys who DESPERATELY need to get outside and RUN!!! I feel it is much easier to raise young boys in the warmer weather!!! Hurry Spring!

So, I've decided to immerse myself in Spring Scrapbooking products! Lots of bright, colorful papers filled with flowers and pictures of my children in the sunshine! That should tide me over until the warmer weather decides to appear!
